President Harry S. Truman's remarks at a luncheon in the Cadet Dining Hall at West Point. The President spoke at 12:50 p.m. In his opening words he referred to Maj. Gen. Frederick A. Irving, Superintendent of the United States Military Academy. Later he referred to General of the Army Omar N. Bradley, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
